Field Trip #1

Unfortunately, I didn't get to go visit my sponsor this week, due to the massive amounts of snow we received throughout the week. I wasn't sure what I was going to do over the weekend, considering we were completely snowed in, but I finally came up with a good idea. We had to dig out my parents' car because my dad had to be at church, so I decided to go to church with my parents. Not many people showed up, but the few that did all sang in choir. Since there weren't many people there, my mom played the organ and I directed the choir. I really enjoyed myself, even though I was a little nervous. I've helped out during choir rehearsals before, yet never really directed for a Sunday service. My project is about vocal music, making this a perfect alternative for my weekly field trip. I was just a little upset that I forgot my camera to take pictures, but the picture shown above is from when I was little. I was involved in choir back then, as well. :]

What if...?

What if you could fly? What would be the first thing you would do? Where would you go? Well, I would absolutely love to have the ability to fly. That would be amazing! The first thing I would do is fly straight up into the sky and attempt to lay on a cloud. How awesome would that be? Then, I would fly to my best friend's house and take her for the ride of her life. I wonder if flying would make me tired. If it didn't I would fly to all the places in the world I want to visit, and the best part about it is it wouldn't cost me a dime to get there! I would just need some spending money. Now that I'm really thinking about it, I really wish I could fly. My whole world would completely change for the better. :]

All South Jersey Connection

I really wasn't sure what to relate my project to this week, at first. Then, I was playing around with my boyfriend's phone, and there was a video on there of one of the songs from my All South Jersey Chorus concert. Also, he had pictures of me from my concert on there. As most of you know, I was in ASJ for 4 years and I was honored. Unfortunately this was my last year and my last concert. Yes, I am very upset about that, but I will always have the memories, and I have a CD of each of my concerts. Vocal music is a huge part of my life and always has been. ASJ Chorus wasn't just some choir to me. It was a very significant part of my high school career, and I'm very proud of myself for sticking with it, even though it wasn't easy. I am definitely going to miss it.

Mr. Lupchinsky :]

This absolutely amazing man is my sponsor, Mr Dennis Lupchinsky. I am so happy that he agreed to help me out with my senior project. Honestly, I couldn't imagine shadowing anyone else and actually enjoying myself as much as I know I will with Mr. L. He is a choir teacher as School #4, but used to be my choir teacher, and I wish he still was. He is such an inspiration to me.

I will be visiting Mr. L once a week, but it may not be the same day every week, due to his schedule. He doesn't always have a class at the end of the day on one specific day of the week because School #4 has a rotating schedule. I will walk over to the school, considering it is right across the street from our school. (how convenient!?) I don't think that I will have any issues fulfilling my student sponsor obligation. If anything, I will probably see him more than I am required to. I haven't gone yet, but I will be going very soon.
