Last Thursday, was our second blood drive of the year. I already gave blood at the first one with no issues, but this time was a little different. I absolutely hate when they prick my finger to test my iron. Well, this time they had to prick my finger twice because my iron was too low for their standards. Thank god the second time, my iron went up because otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to donate at all, which would have really upset me.
This time, I even wanted to do the thing where they separate your plasma from your red blood cells, or something like that, but they wouldn't let me because they said I didn't weigh enough. That's not fair because other people that did it weighed just as much as me. They just looked like they weighed more. Oh well, at least I was able to give blood. Did you know that every pint of blood that you donate can save 3 lives? =]
