My boyfriend, John, was just accepted to York Technical Institute
(YTI) for motocycle mechanics. He wants to be a motocycle technician, and this school offers a 9 month program to become completely certified to do so. They only accept 16 students at a time, of all different ages, so he was very fortunate to be chosen as one of them. There are just a few more things he has to do, such as take the placement test and get his motorcycle license. I am very proud of him, not only because he finally decided what he wanted to do with his life, but also, he is doing everything required of him with no issue. First of all, I went with him to take his motocycle permit test and he passed. Now, he just has to get his license, which he is practicing for right now. His test is next week, and there is no doubt in my mind, he'll pass it. Next, he is going this weekend to take his placement test. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that if he passes everything, his parents are going to buy him a motorcycle of his choice! How awesome is that? Yes, it may be a little rough on John and I, being hours away from each other, but I know we'll make it through those 9 months.
