Grease Connection!

Lindenwold High School presents Grease from March 11-13! I am very excited to be playing a lead role as Marty! I really wasn't sure what part I was going to receive, but I am so glad that I got a member of the Pink Ladies. Being a cast member in Grease definitely relates to my senior project in many ways. First of all, I have my own solo song, "Freddy My Love!" Yeah, the other Pink Ladies and Sandy have back-up parts, but its mainly all me. I had to practice my song a lot to get it just right. A couple of my friends in the play also asked me for help with their songs. So, after practice a few times, I stayed longer just to help out others with their music. I really enjoyed myself and felt like I made a difference. Another way I helped out was by teaching my friend how to annunciate more, in order for the audience to be able to understand his words more clearly. I was so glad to be able to help in my own way, and people were so appreciative. Oh yeah, before I forget, Brian(our pianist) didn't show up to our rehearsal Saturday, leaving Chris Price to learn "The Great Pretender," by himself. I figured I would try to help out as best as I could, so I jumped on the piano and started playing the melody for him. He started getting it down with no problems, and that made me feel really good. =]
