Connection

Choir is pretty much my favorite class of the whole day, except for when people just decide they don't feel like participating, as if the whole class is all about them. Well, for the past few days, choir hasn't been as fun as it normally is for me. Some of the kids in my class are acting like Mr. Pollock hasn't taught them a thing all year, when in fact, he has helped them to drastically improve their singing skills. Sometimes, I feel like people don't take choir as seriously as I do, but they don't have to bring down everyone elses mood with them. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't happen every single day. I just wish it didn't happen at all. I can tell how much those kids who were really embarrassed to sing in the beginning of the year love singing now. :]

  1. I hear what you're saying about how some people don't take stuff seriously. EVERYBODY has the potential to teach us something. This apathy, or sense of not being appreciated when they're giving their all drives some teachers nuts, sometimes causing good folks to leave the profession.
